The growing development of coastal areas includes zones affected by significant earthquakes, which requires specialized knowledge in design and construction, as well as experience in various fields involving coastal port structures. Based on this need, the Mexican technical societies AMIP and SMIS have organized to hold an international symposium with the goal of capitalizing on the experience of specialized companies and renowned international consultants, bringing this knowledge to the Mexican and international community.

GENERAL INFORMATION
DATES 2025
1st Week (September 30th and October 2nd).
2nd Week (October 7 and 9).
Registration fees
$1,250.00 MXN (plus VAT) until July 25
$500.00 MXN (plus VAT) for students
AMIP and SMIS members will enjoy the registration fee of $1,250.00 MXN (plus VAT) up until the date of the event (September-October 2025). After July 25, the fee for non-members will be $2,250.00 MXN (plus VAT).
Schedule
Anticipating international attendance and the participation of European professors, the schedule will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Mexico City time (GMT-6).
• Virtual symposium on the Zoom platform.
• Bibliographic material will be provided, and session recordings will be available to watch for up to 6 months after the symposium.

• Seismic risk assessment.
• International regulations.
• Seismic analysis and design.
• Special devices, energy dissipation.
